Global Analytics and Insights, MPA

We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead the Marketing Analytics team based in Redwood Shores, supporting teams across the Marketing, Publishing and Analytics organization. You will be working closely with diverse teams across Marketing Strategy, Campaign Management, Brand Marketing, Finance, Ops, as well as other GAI team members in Vancouver, Geneva and Bucharest. This is a leadership role and you will be responsible for driving influence across the MPA organization, as well as centrally across GAI, and able to mentor, develop and motivate a team of analysts on projects across a wide range of franchises and business models. This position reports to the Director of Marketing Analytics within EA’s Global Analytics and Insights organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage team of analysts by providing guidance, development and mentorship
  • Supervise and deliver business-driving analytical projects in order to best achieve overall organizational goals
  • Drive collaboration within the Global Analytics group, including Studio Analytics, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Consumer Insights, and User Experience Research
  • Build relationships and influence key stakeholders across MPA and Exec team using top quality insights
  • Find new opportunities to explore data to improve the player experience, improve the product, drive incremental revenue and/or reduce costs across all portfolio
  • Establish optimal way to present actionable data and recommendations for future execution
  • Drive the execution of campaign performance reports to provide key learnings and feedback (trends, patterns, irregularity) for the Marketing Communication team
  • Recommend budget allocations based on data and KPI reports
  • Analyze performance, identify areas to optimize and execute testing where appropriate
  • Implement and promote analytics best practices and a cohesive, standardized approach
  • Continue to evolve and upgrade the team’s technical skills through a combination of SQL, Excel, Python and R

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects

  • Strong exploratory data analysis and visualization skills.

 

Background

  • 8+ years of professional experience with demonstrated experience applying analytics to real world problems
  • Minimum of 4 years of managing teams of analysts supporting multiple functional area
  • Extensive experience in matrix organizations that span across geographies and time zones
  • Solid understanding of standard modeling strategies and descriptive statistics
  • Familiarity with a data visualization software package and statistical software package
  • Proficiency with MS office (Excel and Powerpoint) and / or Google docs equivalents
  • A. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering Sciences  – graduate degree preferred
  • Passion for videogames a plus
