What a Capture Artist does at EA SPORTS:

 

As a Capture Artist you will be an integral part of a creative team that ensures our marketing assets are delivered to their highest quality and compete on a world class level. You will be responsible for shot layout and camera creation for video content on Madden NFL and NBA Live.

 

Key Criteria:

• A junior-mid level artist with who can be creative and organized.
• A basic knowledge of Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Maya.
• An ability to collaborate effectively with studio development partners to best represent the product.
• A strong ability to construct cinematic shots based on a creative brief and shot list.
• A deep knowledge of the sport of Football or Basketball.
• Love video games!

 

The next great EA Capture Artist also needs:

• Deep passion for sports and the gaming industry
  • Deep understanding of the rules of Football or Basketball.
  • Effectively play games across platforms.
  • Staying up-to-date with NFL or NBA.
• Strong written & verbal Communication Skills
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to action feedback and proactively address quality issues.
  • Ability to communicate to people at all levels, both internally & externally with clarity.
  • Strong listening skills.
• Extensive Problem-Solving Skills
  • Sets clear priorities to optimally complete work tasks, allocating resources efficiently.
  • Able to work to designated deadlines & communicates progress when necessary.
  • A motivated self-starter with a desire to contribute.
  • Excited about learning new workflows and adding insight into the production process.
• Collaborative Outlook
  • Takes a team rather than an individual approach to their work.
  • Stays committed to the team & business ethic; maintains a positive outlook in everything they do.
• Strong Cinematic Skills
  • Experience in camera animation with a focus on Maya.
  • Understand framing and composition to create each shot with purpose.
  • Speak fluently in the language of film and understand key cinematic concepts.
