Electronic Arts is looking for the most talented game developers in the world to join us in our mission to add to our expanding portfolio of mobile hits like FIFA, Madden, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, and SimCity BuildIt.

Our growing Mobile Studio – Red Crow – in Austin, Texas, is seeking an experienced Software Engineer – DevOps to work on the upcoming launch of a new social strategy game, Star Wars: Rise to Power.

In Star Wars: Rise to Power, any Star Wars fan can fight for their place as a Hero in the Galactic Wars, acquiring and deploying massive fleets of ships (from small stunt fighters to massive capital ships), iconic characters, and planetary bases, putting the galactic conflict directly into the Player’s hands.

Role:

Upon joining the Star Wars: Rise to Power Team, you’ll immediately start working with the existing team to ensure the stability of our AWS game environments.  We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer ready to dive into building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure – working with our team to provide our users continuous access to an exciting and challenging new Star Wars Game Experience!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Develop tools for deploying, automating and monitoring our AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Work closely with the game teams to ensure access to stable development environments
  • Ensure the security of our cloud infrastructure
  • Provide reporting of KPIs and SLAs
  • Learn new languages, techniques, processes and methodologies
  • Influence an engineering community in your office and around the world
  • Build efficient and reusable systems that impact millions of people

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of professional development of scalable back-end services
  • 4+ years of AWS experience including EC2, ECS, S3, ElastiCache for Redis and CloudWatch
  • Experience with Linux, Jenkins, Docker, DataDog, Loggly, Stackdriver and PagerDuty
  • Self-motivated
  • Passion for learning

 

Nice to have:

  • Proficient with Java
  • Familiarity with Maven, Gatling, Gradle, Terraform, DynamoDB, Memcached, Kubernetes
  • Experience with one or more of the following: JavaScript, Node.js, Python
  • Passion for all things gaming
