Position Title: Sr ITO Services Specialist

External Description:

A full time, mostly site-specific position focused on IT client-based solutions enabling the development of games. 

Responsibilities

  • Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment associated with various teams including but not limited to PC's, game consoles, Audio-Video equipment, mobile devices.
  • Administering Windows and Mac desktop environments including configuring, upgrading, packaging and deployment, troubleshooting and resolving issues
  • Participate in technology projects for both the Montreal studio as well as global projects
  • Liaising and participating with IT infrastructure engineers to maximize system performance, reliability as well as resolve issues
  • Organizing and working to test, prepare, and maintaining technology for shows, conventions, demos, and events
  • Will be responsible for keeping abreast of studio needs through stakeholders to align work and priorities as well as help improve technologies and operations.

  • IT systems generalist with senior level experience in configuration management, deployment, automation, applications, and security
  • Strong understanding of PC client workstation hardware, operating systems, applications, development consoles, printers, mobile devices, networking, Mac and Mac specific software, and Mac imaging.
  • Hands on experience with installing/replacing internal desktop computer components.
  • Strong background in testing for and optimizing client workstations and applications.
  • Build and maintain proactive relationships with studio staff and IT team members.
  • Able to perform Level II incident escalation for studio desktop support teams.
  • Knowledge and understanding of video conferencing equipment and usage.
  • Able to provide desktop support to VP level executives.
  • Autonomous and technically curious, able to develop and find technical solutions to challenges on his own.

 Work Experience Requirements

  • Windows 7, Windows 10, Mac OS, iOS & Android mobile OS, Office 365, Skype, Zoom.
  • Understanding of current hardware standards and future hardware releases.
  • Familiar with development applications including: Perforce, DevTrack, MS Visual Studio, Maya, 3DS Max, Adobe Suite, Microsoft XDK, Sony XDK.
  • Knowledge of enterprise desktop and user administrative tools including Active Directory, SCCM, JAMF Casper Suite/JAMF Pro, Windows Server 2012/2016.
  • Strong understanding of development and test hardware functionality including: updating firmware, updating to latest release for Xbox and Sony PlayStation. Troubleshooting dev/test kit capabilities and knowledge of RMA process.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing code to create automated solutions (i.e: Bash, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)
  • Understanding of server-side components and applications including web, application, and database infrastructure.
  • Understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, as well as network hardware.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
