Position Title: Senior Director, Facilities

External Description:

Summary

The Director of Physical Security & Safety will be responsible for managing the ongoing assessment of global physical security needs at EA and the implementation of solutions to respond to those needs. This role will identify and partner with key internal EA stakeholders. This role will be responsible for leading EA’s Global Security Operations Centers, Business Continuity and Physical Security.  The role will be based at EA’s headquarters in Redwood City, California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and address the most relevant and critical physical security threats to EA personnel, at EA facilities, for EA Executives or Board members and for all internal and external events run or sponsored by EA.
  • Provide strategic direction on evolving physical security & safety issues.
  • Partner with EA’s Competitive Gaming Division to ensure proper assessment of physical security risks and implement appropriate physical security at EA CGD events globally.
  • Partner with other relevant internal EA stakeholders to identify and address physical security needs throughout EA.
  • Identify, retain and manage appropriate external vendors to assist EA with global physical security needs.
  • Source and implement necessary technology and tools.
  • Communicate and update relevant stakeholders, including EA Executives, on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Develop and manage the Physical Security & Safety operating budget as well as related programs.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key partners internally and externally.
  • Work with the Compliance team to develop and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of physical security and risk assessment methodologies, including threat assessments of locations, buildings, and personnel.
  • Excellent communication, organization and written skills.
  • 10+ years operational experience in security planning and operational execution, exposure to international locations preferred.
  • Experience leading large geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience partnering with key internal stakeholder teams like facilities, security, and event planning.
  • Exposure to Health & Safety regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in collaboration with a diverse set of stakeholders, often under high pressure conditions.

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business/security management, law enforcement, or a related field. A minimum of five years of senior corporate security experience is required.

  • Extensive corporate senior management security experience.
  • Strong experience in the development and management of corporate security practices and programs.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and project management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to communicate with and effectively work at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Serve as an effective leader.
  • Able to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
  • Able to implement operational changes within the external/internal environments.
