We’re looking for a Senior Ontologist to drive foundational aspects of our content ecosystem that support the EA Player Network.

Responsibilities:

• The Ontologist will lead the modelling and taxonomy development for content objects and related entities in the EA ecosystem
• They will work with existing content models and modelers to ensure we have a comprehensive inventory of content types and models documented in an actionable and extensible manner
• They will contribute to our meta data strategy for all content types, models and pipelines
• The Ontologist will work with teams to ensure their content conforms to standards and that content pipelines can be substantially automated
• They will work with other data architects at EA to ensure we have a documented and operational model for content performance measurement
• The Ontologist will work with data architects to align content models and affinity models that drive personalization throughout the EA Player Network

Requirements:

• 7+ years as a working ontologist
• Experience designing successful information architectures for large scale systems
• Experience developing ontologies and taxonomies for disparate knowledge domains
• Experience and interest in Network design thinking and the impacts this can have on user experience
• Experience developing content models and supporting taxonomies
• Ability to cultivate relationships quickly and influence without direct authority
• Ability to work in a team environment with maturity and leadership
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Gaming passion is a definite plus
