Position Title: Intern General

External Description:

Support the Brand & Corporate Communications team across multiple public relations disciplines, including earned media, content and storytelling, internal communications, executive communications and competitive gaming. This role will include support of EA’s well-known franchises and EA’s biggest player event of the year, EA PLAY, as well as additional activities for external EA brand channels and internal education and promotion.  

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Work with earned media to support game franchises by working with key partners and agencies, developing written communications such as press releases and media pitches, staffing events and maintaining various earned media databases.
  • Support the Brand and Corp Comm content team on content for EA PLAY and gamescom, with activities including sourcing, writing and editing stories and content for the EA PLAY website and the @EA social channels including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Assist with internal communications by supporting various announcements and employee engagement programs including executive communications, written global employee communications, Town Halls, and other internal events.
  • Assist the Competitive Gaming Division team with various projects including player events, maintaining databases, schedules and trackers, and coordinating with key partners. Also, help in media outreach and managing strategic competitive gaming marketing campaigns.

 

Education & Skills Required

 

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from BA, BS, MS, or MBA program in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A self-starter with a strong passion for storytelling.
  • Experience with social media platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results on time.
  • Familiar with EA, our games, and the gaming industry.
