The Dynamic Messaging team’s primary goal is to motivate players to engage with EA games by delivering content against key moments in the player’s journey. The team focuses on leveraging behavioral and transactional data, as well as automation tools to deliver highly personalized messages, at scale. The team strategically delivers enterprise-wide solutions that allow for omnichannel messaging and power new digital business models.

Job Description

The west coast Sr. Manager, Lifecycle Planning, is a highly visible and strategic role in EA’s Global Analytics and Insights (GAI) team.  In partnership with the east coast lead, this individual will mobilize a global team that brings to life our dynamic omnichannel messaging product.  As part of GAI, this role will be a steward of data-driven solutions that connect player experiences across our portfolio of games and subscriptions. 

The lifecycle planning team designs curriculums that identify player friction points and map those behaviors to messaging for the expressed purpose of improving player experiences. This team is responsible for creating seamless personalized experiences across EA’s network, including channels such as email, in-game, web and mobile. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys video games and is looking to master the intricacies of data-driven experiences, progressive technology and AI. Candidate will be joining a vibrant team who care deeply about EA gamers, gaming experiences and each other.

 This role will be based at EA Redwood Shores.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Evolve digital transformation strategies across the player journey levering data, analytics and insight and progressive technology.
  • Champion our players: partner across brand marketing, creative development, analytics & consumer insights, and studio teams to develop global lifecycle marketing strategies that will drive customer engagement, satisfaction, loyalty, and LTV.
  • Work closely with cross-functional creative and strategy leaders to define new operating models to deliver personalization at scale.
  • Manage content forecasting
  • Design triggered lifecycle campaigns to fulfill engagement and acquisition objectives across 1:1 channels
  • Develop strategies to increase the addressable audience for each of EA’s titles.
  • Evangelize process and objectives to core constituencies
  • Drive innovation and efficiencies across established messaging channels
  • Mastery of digital engagement metrics, email performance and approaches to optimization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable with data.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in CRM, engagement/lifecycle marketing, MarTech or system automation including:
    • Digital channel, including email
    • Database-driven marketing
    • Subscription services
  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to clearly articulate vision and implement plans
  • Passionate about games, or game theory. And passionate about connecting players to entertainment that they will love.
  • Empathetic and leads by example to build and evolve a high-dynamic team
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable with data
  • Develop and retain a highly effective team; manage team members to successfully deliver on program goals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or Economics is preferred
  • Demonstrated product management leadership
  • Deep curiosity around MarTech problems, matched with a creative and forward-thinking approach to solving them
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of management
  • Good understanding of HD, mobile, PC gaming and subscriptions
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and partner across complex organizations
