EA Mobile -- Software Quality Engineer Intern

 

We are looking for an Intern Software Engineer to join the quality verification team at EA Seattle. Come and join us for an opportunity to work with the best game development teams in the world, in a challenging yet fun and creative environment.

 

In this role you will be contributing to the Technical Quality effort as an engineer, writing code to test a new game in development using a standalone testbed environment. You will be writing test scenarios, which explore edge cases and identify game breaking bugs using a code-driven testing approach. You will be collaborating directly with game designers and QA to identify the most valuable play styles and ideal testing approach. You will also be participating in creating and improving our test automation scripts.

 

You should have working knowledge of C# and knowledge of tower-defence style game mechanics, You should be able to network across a large number of groups and individuals, in both Development and Quality Assurance domains.

Scope and Impact:

  • Work with development, design, and QA teams in an Agile Scrum environment to design, develop, and deliver intelligent testing scenarios
  • Maintain test automation scripts and supporting frameworks
  • Upkeep of studio real-device farms

 

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in Computer Science or other Engineering curriculum with hands-on experience in C#
  • Working knowledge of at least one IDE (Visual studio, Rider, etc)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A love for making and playing games, and passion for quality gameplay mechanics

Bonus skills

  • Hands-on experience with team Task Management software such as JIRA, TestRail, or Hansoft
  • Experience with mobile app development
  • Experience with Unity 3D engine
