The Challenge Ahead:

As a Desktop Publishing Specialist, you will coordinate and format assigned localization projects for a timely delivery of high quality graphical assets in a fast-paced environment.

 

What a Desktop Publishing Specialist does at EA:

  • Format and coordinate Desktop Publishing Projects for global languages ensuring quality and delivery of all assets on time
  • Prepare and manage all Desktop Publishing tasks related to your projects including the formatting of manuals, newsletters and banners within deadlines
  • Provide external suppliers with all information, material and schedules (if applicable)
  • Source and test external vendors (Desktop Publishing agencies), ensuring a highly skilled team
  • Work closely with the Translation, LT and Global Marketing teams to ensure manual documentation and marketing assets are consistent with the software and comply with EA’s quality standards
  • Track Desktop Publishing projects
  • Provide status reports on request

 

The next great EA Desktop Publishing Specialist also needs:

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Complex Project Management
  • Excellent mother tongue (German) and English skills
  • Mastering of Desktop Publishing tools (Adobe Creative Suite – mainly Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat) and techniques within a PC or Mac environment
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good knowledge of digital and printing processes
  • Basic understanding of HTML and animation software
  • Be able to demonstrate an organised, structured approach with an eye for detail

 

Experience Required

  • experience of similar role or of project management role
  • 1 year formatting
  • Previous experience of managing relations with suppliers
