The Challenge Ahead:

Electronic Arts’ Global Creative team is looking for an experienced strategist to work across their fast-growing portfolio of competitive gaming titles. The successful candidate will partner closely with key stakeholders within the Competitive Gaming Division to analyse the performance of content across all owned digital channels, provide insights gathered from competitive eSports titles, establish best practices and help to develop industry leading digital content.

 

  • This role suits a strong lateral thinker and problem solver
  • A strong passion for storytelling and understanding consumer behavior
  • Ability to convincingly articulate complex ideas to a variety of key stakeholders from different functions in a clear and concise way
  • Ability to work in an agile environment
  • Adept at digging in and analyzing data to understand content consumption behaviors
  • Impeccable written, presentation and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail is a must

 

 

What a Channel Strategist – Competitive Games Division does at EA:

  • Increase live broadcast viewership for EA’s major competitive gaming events
  • Raise the profile of competitive gaming by helping to develop world-class social and video content
  • Create the standards and best practices that will be used to guide the creation of content for EA’s competitive gaming franchises
  • Use a range of analytics software to monitor, improve and report performance of content across owned digital channels
  • Analyse the digital activity of major competitors in the eSports industry
  • Work closely with a content strategist and EA’s production teams to develop & test new content ideas
  • Provide benchmarks for content performance & promote the continual growth of EA’s competitive gaming titles across digital platforms

 

 

The next great EA Channel Strategist – Competitive Games Division also needs:

  • Significant experience in digital content development; preferably within a global organization
  • Experience of working with native digital analytics (Eg: Facebook Insights / YouTube analytics) as well as third-party analytics tools
  • Well-versed in the digital metrics that matter when it comes to measuring and optimizing content performance
  • Experience in creating and conducting tests to drive meaningful insights
  • Solid understanding of content and its role in today’s marketing strategies
  • Previous experience in working within a complex, multinational organization is strongly preferred
  • A passion for competitive gaming and entertainment is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of paid media is preferred
