At EA, Game Designers are champions of the product.  As a Senior Game Designer you’ll be an integral member of the team, shaping our games to satisfy both hardcore and casual players, driving commercial success on a free-to-play business model.

 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in game design, innate ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple to understand ways, extensive knowledge of mobile games, and exceptional creativity. You can collaborate effectively with a team of developers to implement your designs and are familiar with using telemetry to validate and improve your designs.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Work with the Creative Director, Game Director and Live Content Product Manager to help define the design with regards to every facet of the game: structure, flow, economy, mechanics, etc.
• Collaborate closely with all disciplines (engineering, project management, art, QA, etc.) to drive the development process and release high quality updates
• Drive the prioritization of work in the backlog
• Lead, review, and manage the design work (designs, documentation, tuning, etc) of other designers on the team
• Mentor and grow the design team on best practices in design and product development
• Create and maintain design templates and improve design processes
• Keep team updated on game wide design changes
• Formulate requests for research and conduct competitive analysis
• Generate actionable changes from research and live data

 

Who you are:

• 5+ years of game design experience
• 2+ years of design leadership & managing other designers
• Designed and developed major game systems for at least one shipped mobile title
• Experience running or building a live-service focused game
• Strong leadership & ability to motivate a team
