Rôle du spécialiste de rendu chez Frostbite

L’équipe de rendu travaille directement sur les arrière-plans de rendu de bas niveau du moteur Frostbite. Nous sommes responsables de développer les arrière-plans de rendu des plateformes PS4, XB1, sur PC (DX11 et DX12) ainsi que les plateformes futures. Nous sommes appelés à collaborer aux jeux de EA (p. ex., Battlefield 1, FIFA, Mass Effect) dans l’atteinte de leurs objectifs de performance et de qualité. Nous vous invitons à joindre notre équipe pour propulser le système de rendu et contribuer à la réussite de certains des plus grands titres de EA. 

Tâches principales :

  • Développer les arrière-plans de rendu de bas niveau du moteur Frostbite en créant des technologies de pointe pour les jeux partout dans le monde
  • Établir le profil des technologies de rendu et les optimiser
  • Développer, concevoir et mettre en œuvre un code de qualité élevée pour intégrer des caractéristiques de pointe aux produits phares de EA
  • Réviser les concepts et codes techniques rédigés par d’autres spécialistes du rendu et offrir de la rétroaction
  • Contribuer à l’avancement du système de rendu afin d’exploiter le matériel de rendu moderne et l’API 

Compétences et expérience techniques requises :

  • Baccalauréat ou expérience équivalente dans un domaine lié à l’informatique
  • Solide connaissance C++ avec au moins 5 ans d’expérience professionnelle en programmation
  • Connaissance du rendu en temps réel et des techniques associées du domaine
  • Compréhension de la gestion de la mémoire et développement dans un environnement à processeurs multiples
  • Au moins 5 ans d’expérience sur des produits AAA dans un rôle associé avec plusieurs titres à son actif
  • Expérience sur les consoles actuelles (PS4, XBONE) et sur PC
  • Expérience dans la conception et la mise en œuvre axées sur l’objet
  • Fortes compétences en mathématiques particulièrement en algèbre linéaire et en calcul
  • Compréhension des architectures multifils et des principes de synchronisation
  • Forte habileté à travailler avec des codes internes et externes en mode collaboratif
  • Excellentes compétences de dépannage et expérience d’utilisation des outils de dépannage
  • Compréhension approfondie des obstacles à la performance des fonctions de rendu
  • Expérience avec une variété d’outils d’analyse de la performance comme PIX, GPAD, etc.
  • Connaissance approfondie des unités centrales et des processeurs graphiques
  • Expérience de rédaction de nuanceurs de sommet et de fragment 

Compétences et expérience privilégiées :

  • Expérience avec C#/Python pour l’élaboration de scénarios ou d’outils
  • Connaissance de la création de contenu et des principales trousses de création de contenu numérique
  • Expérience des API graphiques de bas niveau comme DX12, Metal, Vulkan ou GNM
  • Expérience avancée de Perforce
  • Expérience des méthodologies agiles pour le développement de logiciels

What does a Frostbite Rendering Developer do?

The Rendering team works directly on the low-level rendering backends of the Frostbite engine.  We are responsible for developing the rendering backends for PS4, XB1 and PC (DX11 and DX12) and future platforms.  We are also called upon to partner with EA’s games (e.g., Battlefield 1, FIFA, Mass Effect and others) to reach their performance and quality targets.  We hope you will join our team to drive the rendering system forward and contribute to the success of some of EA’s biggest titles. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the low-level rendering back-ends in the Frostbite Engine creating leading edge technologies for games around the globe.
  • Profile and optimize rendering technologies.
  • Develop, design and implement high quality code to deliver cutting edge features for EA's flagship products.
  • Review and provide feedback on technical designs and code written by other rendering engineers.
  • Contribute to advancing the rendering system to exploit modern rendering hardware and API’s. 

Required Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in computer science related field.
  • Strong C++ knowledge with at least 5 years professional programming experience.
  • Knowledge of real time rendering and the associated techniques within the field.
  • Understand memory management and developing in a multi-processor environment.
  • 5+ years of experience working on AAA products in a related role with multiple shipped titles.
  • Experience on current consoles - PS4, XBONE, PC.
  • Experience in object-oriented design and implementation.
  • Strong mathematics skills especially with Linear Algebra & Calculus.
  • Understanding of multithreaded architectures and synchronization principles.
  • Strong ability to work with internal and externally developed code in a collaborative fashion.
  • Excellent debugging skills and experience using tools to help debug.
  • In-depth understanding of performance bottlenecks of rendering features.
  • Experience with a variety of performance analysis tools such as PIX, GPAD, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of both CPU and GPU
  • Experience writing vertex and fragment shaders 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with C#/Python for scripting or tool development
  • Knowledge of content creation & common DCC packages
  • Experience with low-level rendering API’s such as DX12, Metal, Vulkan or GNM
  • Advanced Perforce experience
  • Experience with Agile methodologies for software development.
