Seeking an Outsourcing Development Manager for The Sims 4 franchise.

What You Will Do:

  • Build and maintain effective schedules to ensure achievement of overall project development milestones.
  • Help plan milestones and deliverables, tracks progress, drive for successful completion of commitments.
  • Maintain regular communications within our dev teams, with outsourcing partners and key development stakeholders to ensure we hit our team goals.
  • Look for ways to improve efficiency without compromising effectiveness and quality.
  • Anticipate and escalate communications regarding problems and dev team roadblocks.
  • Able to extract and use data to establish trends and create predictability in hitting key deliverables.
  • Manage career development of direct reports, including development of individual development plans, and regular 1:1 meetings.

  • Effective Listener with the ability to actively understand established teams and developers.
  • Strong communicator who is able to effectively communicate team and project goals in a clear, concise, and strategic manner.
  • Able to interpret design documents and project schedules to establish and communicate scope.
  • Strong people management skills including the ability to clearly communicate performance expectations, and provide regular feedback to improve employee performance; capable of managing performance and professional development of direct reports.
  • A good understanding of game development, interdisciplinary dependencies, and associated development risks.
  • Flexible in approach and able to adopt varying methods to achieve results in a quick-changing, dynamic environment.
  • Minimum 4 years software development experience or other related experience; minimum 2 years project management experience.
  • Outsourcing experience preferred.
