EA SHANGHAI STUDIO DIRECTOR:

The dynamic leader of EA Shanghai will oversee a veteran content team that partners with EA’s global console game team studios to deliver industry-leading art for its top franchises.  Both an operations expert and a business development expert, the EA Shanghai Studio Director will lead a growing team of over 100+ artists, project managers and leadership to the next level of content development.  Existing relationships with EA’s top franchises are expanding and require strong organizational and strategic leadership to advance the EA’s content strategy. This position is a full-time role located in Shanghai, P.R.C.

EA SHANGHAI STUDIO DIRECTOR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven track record in building highly effective, high performing teams – focusing on organizational management and growth and mentorship
  • Strong capabilities in developing interpersonal business relationships
  • Minimum 10 years in console game development or equivalent and 3+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record with distributed development
  • Expert at multi-team, multi-project portfolio management
  • Expert communication and presentation skills
  • Mandarin and English speaking
  • An MBA is an asset
  •  

 

EA SHANGHAI STUDIO DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for studio resource planning; ensuring all projects have the right talent mix and leadership
  • Responsible for resource and funding gap analysis that drives production success
  • Ensure that Studio resource and capacity plans for future fiscal years align with the financial long range and short range planning
  • Drive quarterly Studio operational reviews by reporting EA Shanghai key productivity metrics and critical risks / mitigation
  • Build high performance management and leadership team
  • Responsible for hiring strategy, recruitment plans and salary approvals for core talent
  • Responsible for operating budgets
  • Work directly with game team partners to lock down project engagements, pursue mutual expectation setting and process best practices
  • Develop clear team and individual objectives with direct reports and Sr. Leaders
