The Competitive Gaming Division (CGD) is built around creating highly engaging competitive events that celebrate our community, and broadcasting the spectacle of competition to millions to people around the world. Competition runs deep in the DNA of Electronic Arts, and our games are already at the center of competitive gaming events at different levels today. EA’s CGD will seek to build a best-in-class program to centralize our efforts with new events, as well as the infrastructure to bring you the world’s preeminent EA competitive experiences.

 

We’ve achieved viewership scale in multiple titles but we believe there’s still much room to improve on the broadcast experience. We’re looking for an experienced product manager to own the Interactive Broadcast roadmap from end-to-end, which features products ranging from out-of-the box solutions to new experiences engineered internally from the ground up.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Interactive Broadcast subject matter expert and seamlessly interface between studios, the central dev team and CGD.
  • Own the Interactive Broadcast roadmap, helping define user stories, research appropriate technical solutions and communicate creative vision, strategy and structure.
  • Understand and analyze the spectator journey with the ultimate goal to elevate the competitive gaming viewing experience
  • Oversee the day-to-day progress of project(s) and release initiatives with regard to time, budget, scope, and quality
  • Build and maintain a complete project schedule, make it constantly visible to management and key stakeholders, and drive it through to completion
  • Engage with other teams in the company, evangelizing the team and your project, building relationships and helping identify existing components and technologies that can be leveraged to deliver on our goals
  • Responsible for providing quarterly updates around the state of the business

Key Requirements

  • Deep understanding of interactive technologies, both in-game and out-of-game (streaming platforms, 3rd party solutions, interactive SDKs)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Extremely data-driven and ability to lead prioritization process
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the demonstrated ability to make effective presentations to a broad range of audiences
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize
  • Ability to remove blockers and ‘get things done’ and influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent) preferred
  • 5+ years in product and/or program management
  • Experience with delivering live services a strong plus
  • Experience with game development a strong plus
