Position Title: Intern General

External Description:

  1. Basic Function

    Finance plays a pivotal role managing the company’s financial performance and shaping its strategic priorities. The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is responsible for facilitating the coordination, consolidation, reporting and analysis of EA’s overall forecast process; Board of Director reporting, and supports the quarterly earnings process.

The Corporate FP&A internship is a 12-week program that provides exposure across these various activities.  In addition, the Corporate FP&A internship is part of EA’s broader summer intern program, which includes orientation and various social and professional events.  Our intern will also have an opportunity to present a final presentation to the Corporate FP&A team based on a given project during the program.

  1. Responsibilities & Duties

 

  • Total Company Reporting & Analysis
    • Assist in the preparation of EA’s Total Company management reporting related to the close and forecast process.
    • Help manage EA’s recurring financial outlook updates, summarizing key risks & opportunities to our financial forecasts.
    • Support EA’s balance sheet and cash flow forecast process.

 

  • BOD / Earnings Support
    • Support EA’s Q1 Earnings, which includes communicating financial results, expectations and strategy to the external community and Board of Directors.

 

III. Technical Skills and Requirements

  • Working toward a bachelor’s degree at a top institution - concentration in finance recommended
  • Excellent Excel modeling (pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of critical accounting policies
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to operate independently, anticipate requirements and monitor workload
  • Strong work ethic, motivation, and drive
  • Polished professionals, with excellent oral / written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for gaming and knowledge of the gaming industry a plus
