Position Title: Sr Game Designer

Sr. Level Designer: Co-op/Multiplayer – DICE LA

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design levels for both head-to-head and cooperative online play
  • Develop high-level concepts for levels, locations and objectives
  • Establish and drive environmental metrics for the game
  • Build prototype environments using Frostbite
  • Design and script AI encounters
  • Bring levels through every phase of development from concept to polish
  • Communicate your designs and ideas to the rest of the team
  • Champion established game rules and ideas within your work
  • Gather, compile and use feedback and telemetry to hone the player experience in your levels
  • Collaborate with all disciplines on the game team to ensure that levels maintain a high quality
  • Participate in feedback of other design work
  • Help create and prioritize backlogs and polish lists for your levels

Requirements:

  • At least two shipped “AAA” titles as a level designer
  • 5+ years of experience in the design of levels within multiplayer or co-op titles
  • Level editor experience (for engines such as Frostbite, Source or Unreal)
  • Experience with visual scripting
  • Strong documentation and visualization skills

Valuable additional skills:

  • Technical background with experience in programming
  • Experience developing competitive titles
  • Experiences with 3D modeling software such as Maya or Sketchup
  • Degree or experience in art, architecture, interior design or industrial design
