What a Quality Analyst I does at EA:

The Quality Analyst is a test expert that applies white box, grey box and black box testing techniques as well as his in-depth understanding of system design, implementation and integration to identify bugs as early as possible.  This requires the development of a test strategy and checklists which challenges the product/service to ensure a high level of software quality (Functional, Reliable, Usable and High Performance).

The Quality Analyst will also develop, maintain and execute a test strategy and checklists (collection of test cases) for their areas of ownership that test a product and/or service from end-to-end. They will partner with the Development Teams, helping to improve the test and development process, and provide Development Support as needed – Private Build Testing, Complex Bug Isolation, Risk Analysis, and Regressions.  Additionally, the Quality Analyst will schedule, plan for, and run meetings with small groups of partners and stakeholders

In addition, the Quality Analyst will also develop expertise with in-house 3rd party test tools, perform Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA). While the main focus is to identify, isolate, regress and communicate bugs effectively and efficiently, they will also help coach and mentor team members.

The next great EA Quality Analyst I needs:

  • 2+ years of QA testing experience
  • Strong Knowledge of Software Testing Processes and Best Practices
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The preferred candidate for the EA Access QA Support role will also be able to do the following:

…and, in general, the potential to sweep us off our feet!

What’s in it for you? Glad you asked!
