Position Title: Senior Animator

External Description:

Responsibilities: • Work closely with Animation Director and Lead Designers to understand and support the big picture goals of the project. • Provide mentorship, animation feedback and training to less-experienced animators. • Work with experience teams to create previz, prototypes and production animation that helps define the look and feel of the intended cinematics. • Maintain and communicate a strong knowledge of innovative production technologies and the capabilities/limitations of these technologies as they relate to the project goals. • Actively contribute to the continued improvements of the techniques and best practices of the animation team. • Oversee motion capture data clean up. • Responsible for choreographing animation data into the game engine.

Desired Skills: Qualifications/Skills: • 6+ years of games/film animation experience. • Must be experienced in Maya and Motion Builder. • Strong understanding of traditional animation principles and fundamentals, able to demonstrate an exceptional visual/technical understanding of animation mechanics. • Experienced in gameplay, vignette and cinematic animation with the ability to animate characters and objects at an extremely high level of quality and utilizing various styles. • Strong demo reel, including examples of character-based animation. Bonus Qualifications/Skills: • A Bachelor's degree or diploma, with an emphasis in animation • Management and Leadership experience • Strong understanding of cinematic language and camera terminology.
