We are looking for a seasoned senior communications specialist to join our Brand & Corporate Communications team based out of Redwood Shores. In this role, you will work directly with our Senior Communications Manager and will be responsible for being the global PR lead on a few of our marquee franchises including new titles coming out this fiscal year. Key focus will be using your experience working on video game campaigns to jump right in and quickly learn the collaborative frameworks in which we work. In this role, you will be leading the execution, and later on, creation of PR objectives, strategies and tactics to generate new and consistent coverage for each franchise. You will also be required to spend lengths of time in-studio at these franchise locations, working with the brand and campaign managers, community teams and development teams, among others.

Responsibilities

  • Boosts the coverage of EA franchises in the competitive media landscape.
  • Maximizes the Earned opportunities within the larger global title campaigns.
  • Drafts, staffs and manages the day-to-day tasks for multiple titles.
  • Collaborates effectively with different cross-functional and territory teams to plan and execute specific PR activities including media pitching, events and more.
  • Works with other PR franchise and Brand & Corporate Communications team members to ensure we are working together to tell our stories on Earned, Owned, Social and Internal channels.
  • Quickly grows a relationship with key spokespeople on different development teams.
  • Actively maintains current media relations and develops new ones.

 

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Public Relations and the gaming industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong organizational and management abilities.
  • High ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously, while prioritizing high-return work.
  • Has solid relationships with gaming and technology media.
  • Proficient at presenting communications plans and incorporating feedback.
