The Challenge Ahead

 

The Ghost team in Guildford is looking for a Junior or Graduate Software Engineer to join our online engineering team. You will be responsible for developing features that create the connective tissue within our games. 

We’re looking for someone who can bring us enthusiasm, a desire to learn, and a new perspective to add to our collaborative studio. In exchange, we’ll provide you with mentorship from some of the best in the industry, giving you the tools to help shape the future of AAA games.

 

What a Junior Online Engineer does at Ghost:

  • Working as part of our online engineering team, you’ll hone your craft skills, learning to turn ideas into implementations that ship in AAA games
  • Collaborates with cross-discipline teams to deliver amazing features
  • Implements and maintains reliable and efficient code
  • Hones their communication skills to be able to collaborate with engineers and other disciplines within Ghost and across other EA studios around the world

 

A Junior Online Engineer also needs:

 

  • Strong C++ programming skills
  • MySQL is an advantage
  • Experience with web technologies is a bonus
  • BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • Understanding of object-oriented design principles
  • A passion for games, and a desire to create high-quality AAA titles that millions of people want to play
  • A hunger to learn
