Position Title: Advanced Analyst

Manager, Corporate Strategy

The Corporate Strategy team works closely with the company's executive management and business unit leaders. The team analyzes market, industry and technology trends and works with internal and external experts to craft comprehensive corporate strategy that extends EA’s capabilities and contributes to EA’s top-line and bottom-line growth.

Embedded in the Corporate Strategy Team, reporting to the VP Finance Asia and partnering with Asia Executives, you will take responsibility for delivering industry insights and strategic recommendations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate key consumer, technology, and market movements and identify emerging trends to keep EA on the cutting edge of the video game industry
    • Maintain and improve market tracking to ensure consistency and accuracy; empower internal stakeholders to extract useful data and generate insights
    • Create monthly and quarterly reports to update management team with product performance, market trends, and key insights
    • Provide top-notch market analysis and forecasting backed by a data-driven approach to help investment decisions, performance benchmarking
  • Partner with business unit leaders to develop strategic plans and initiate important transformational projects
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of EA’s products and services and performance in the market
  • Manage strategic projects; maintain responsibility for deliverables, timelines, and management of stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Conduct strategic analysis using a hypothesis-driven approach and synthesize conclusions to be presented to internal leaders
  • Contribute to EA thought leadership pieces on trends affecting the video game industry, consumer behavior digital transformation affecting our industry

 

Skills / Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience, with experience at a top tier consulting firm, investment banking firm, or similar strategy role within the digital entertainment industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills required to lead and participate in several projects, including anticipating requirements and monitoring workload
  • Knowledge and ability to apply standard business frameworks (e.g. SWOT, value chain, competitive forces, core competency analysis)
  • Strong written & verbal communication and Powerpoint or similar presentation software used for storytelling strategic opportunities or market analysis
  • Basic understanding of data analytics (e.g. SQL, R, Tableau), reporting and modelling
  • MBA preferred, but not required
  • Passion for gaming and the industry
