What the Head of Technology will do at Maxis:
- Defines 3-Year Technical Roadmaps for all technology within the Maxis umbrella
- Leads the team through all of its technical leads and TDs to achieve defined technical roadmaps
- Audits the technical quality of all major project milestones
- Defines Configuration Management, Automation and Operational strategies in partnership with central teams
- Aligns Maxis’ technical objectives with the wider EA senior technical leaders
- Works with other Senior Maxis Leadership to define strategic objectives for the studio
- Mentors all technical leaders and builds succession plans for each
- Identifies and mitigates all technical risks for the Studio
Who You Are:
- 7+ years leadership experience in the AAA, casual or mobile gaming Industry
- Minimum 2 full project cycles successfully executed in Technical Director capacity running a large franchise project in the gaming industry.
- Extensive experience with a breadth of programming languages and tools.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
- Constantly innovate how to improve product quality as well as group productivity
- Experience running a large geographically distributed team with the ability to foster a strong community with an emphasis on high performance and guaranteed delivery
- Strong mediation, diplomacy, time-management, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong influencing skills
- S. in Computer Science or equivalent-masters preferred.
