This person will support our marketing research activities through all phases of the custom research project lifecycle.  Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research is a plus. This person will be responsible for working closely with key stakeholders to help execute and manage our new Voice of the Player post-contact survey program, which includes Social Listening.

This role is part of EA’s Customer Experience organization. The Customer Experience organization strives to make EA known for taking care of its players. We’re players taking care of players and people talking to people – whenever, wherever, and however they need us.

The Player Insights Analyst will also manage our internal Voice of the Player data collection platform. They’ll report to our research manager.

So how does the Player Insights Analyst make great experiences for players? They:

  • take initiative – work autonomously to solution a problem and drive the research process forward, asking questions of stakeholders, and updating the business on the progress or timelines until delivery of results.  Ultimately the researcher works with stakeholders to drive change across the business, owning where applicable, all communications.
  • project design – work with stakeholders to design project methodology and develop survey instrument. The researcher must be able to translate input from stakeholders into an effective study design and survey instrument.
  • exploring data – work with survey and internal data sources to sift, sort, collect, and analyze to provide actionable research insights to the business.
  • develop actionable reporting and insights – effectively interpret survey data to provide research insights that improve the player experience and deliver a Signature Customer Experience for EA.
  • storytelling – tell a story with the insights, not just provide data or graphs to the business. With actionable research and a compelling story, we have an opportunity to shape the player experience and drive the Signature Customer Experience for EA.
  • have fun! As a game company, a passion for games and improving the player experience is a must.

If you’re interested in this role, you’ll need these skills or experiences:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Marketing or a related field.
  • Two or more years of market research experience.
  • Knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, or similar).
  • Knowledge of survey platforms like Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or SureyGizmo.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and data warehousing, modeling, and mining is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Voice of the Customer programs, interactive entertainment industries, customer contact centers, and Social Listening strategies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of customer contact centers, is a plus
  • Knowledge of social listening best practices and platforms, is a plus
