We’re seeking a talented Game Designer to work in a fast-paced environment who is passionate about making great games with like-minded teammates.  You will be responsible for designing features to delight our players through gameplay, progression, and engagement.  As a creative force on the team, you will champion getting your ideas and designs into the game.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in game design, innate ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple to understand ways, extensive knowledge of mobile games, and exceptional creativity.  You can collaborate effectively with a team of developers to implement your designs and are familiar with using telemetry to validate and improve your designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and drive the implementation of entire features and game systems
  • Deliver design specifications for player engagement and retention to team leads
  • Work with developers to ensure your features are delivered to the highest quality
  • Develop ideas for gameplay and progression systems throughout the player life-cycle
  • Create and tune content to create an accessible yet deep experience for players
  • Work closely with UX/UI to design wireframes and paper prototypes
  • Quickly prototype design ideas in-game and rapidly iterate via playtesting
  • Develop data-gathering methods for game balancing and tuning.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of game design experience
  • Designed and developed major game systems for at least one shipped title
  • Outstanding self-motivation and initiative in a highly dynamic environment
  • Demonstrable content creation skills (units, levels, maps, etc.)
  • Able to work creatively in a demanding technical environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A passion for playing and making awesome games!

Pluses:

  • Analytical skills for evaluating systems and interpreting player behavior data
  • Experience in User Interface and interaction design with representative wireframes
  • Experience designing content and systems for F2P games in a live-service environment
  • Experience writing and/or copy editing on a shipped game.
  • At least one shipped mobile title.
