Position Title: Senior Game Design Director II

Capital Games is looking for a Sr. Creative Director to join us in creating the best mobile games in the world. The Creative Director will act as a guiding force for games across the studio, providing vision as well as making sure that each aligns with core design philosophies and represents in concept, quality, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with studio leadership to define strategy and long-term planning
  • Concept and pitch high-level game ideas
  • Evangelize game ideas to the studio and generate excitement and enthusiasm among the team
  • Build a collaborative relationship with each development team
  • Participate in design brainstorm sessions

Requirements

  • At least one title launched/shipped in a Sr. Creative Director role
  • Excellent pitching and public speaking skills
  • Ability to provide both focused and inspiring creative leadership
  • Sensitivity to mass-market audience appeal, and the ability to innovate within it
  • Passion for playing and making games and an excellent understanding of what makes them fun
  • Solid understanding of popular social games and the design mechanics that work well within them 

Desired

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and data-driven design and development
  • Game industry experience in another discipline (programming, art, production, audio, etc.,)
