We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager of Game Product Management to join our mobile team in Austin, Texas working on an unreleased MMO strategy game, Star Wars: Rise to Power.

 

Role

The Sr. Manager of Game PM will manage a team in charge of revenue generation and player engagement on our upcoming project, Star Wars Rise to Power. In close collaboration with the Production, Data, Engineering, and Design teams, the Product Management team will have the ability to directly pilot the live game, engaging the player base through the management of micro-transactions, live tools, and data analysis. Using domain expertise, the Sr. Manager of Game PM will own KPIs, reporting, drive key decisions about the player experience, and help determine the future direction for the game.


Their core focus will be the players’ behavior, both in terms of engagement and sales. They will use their previous experience on MMOs, mobile free-to-play games, or similar ventures to drive the performance of the game.

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Provide strong leadership to the team, inspire and motivate the team through personal example, enthusiasm, and dedication
  • Build a resilient, capable team which embraces accountability, seeks opportunities to maximize their potential, and takes pride in their accomplishments
  • Build an effective partnership with the Lead Producer
  • Establish trust and credibility with the Executive Producer and studio leadership
  • Form close working relationships with discipline directors

 

Development

  • Own game metrics (acquisition, retention, engagement, monetization) and proactively identify optimizations for player experience and core financial performance
  • Create lifetime value for the game by enabling amazing player experiences, balancing and optimizing economy and pricing that affects player retention, and monetization
  • Leverage live service tools analytics, A/B testing, In-App/Push Notifications and other tools to optimize player experience and drive business objectives
  • Partner with EA and external teams to optimize revenue performance and coordinate feature releases with all key stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Collaborate to define and support the product roadmap
  • Own the business strategy based on a deep understanding of game design and engagement/monetization mechanics
  • Identify retention and monetization opportunities using a variety of channels including data analytics, competitive research, design hypotheses, player feedback
  • Partner closely with Production discipline Directors to conceptualize, specify, and implement engaging features, content, & systems
  • Collaborate extensively with feature planning and optimization: establish benchmarks internally and externally, measure performance and provide actionable recommendations to Design and Production teams

 

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a relevant Game Product Management or similar role: Monetization Manager, Live Ops Manager, Senior Analyst on a free-to-play online game, or a similar product (app, website, etc.)
  • S./B.A. degree in a quantitative major
  • Passion for creating innovative, fun, and compelling games
  • Strong business & creative capabilities - you can confidently draw a line from detailed player behavior all the way to market outcomes
  • Strong experience in quantitative analysis, including the ability to model game parameters using Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools
  • Experience designing and tuning a free to play economy by making structured, hypothesis-driven product improvements
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Proven ability to partner with cross-functional disciplines and influence effectively
  • Comfortable presenting complex concepts

 

Bonuses
