Position Title: Senior Director, Global Brand Management

External Description:

EA Asia is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated Senior Brand Director, with a proven track record of success and achievement in brand strategy, product and live-service marketing. At EA, you will join a growing team that is shaping the future of interactive entertainment.

Reporting to the Vice President of Asia Publishing, you will be responsible for developing the Asia brand strategy, partnering with development teams on multi-year product roadmaps, driving always-on live services, and guiding an Asia wide cross-functional organization to continually grow each of EA’s key franchises in Asia.

The ideal candidate is a world class brand strategist, progressive thinker with experience managing multiple brands, has a strong understanding of the Asia gaming industry, knows the players, can drive a live service, and explore new business models across online and mobile games. You must have the ability to partner with multiple teams, process analytics and consumer insights into clear business, brand, product, and live service strategy. And you need to have fun doing it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the brand strategies, target audience, positioning and franchise key performance indicators for Asia’s key franchises in each of its key markets.
  • Collaborate with the global brand teams to define the long-term brand vision, brand identity and creative direction that ensure consistency across all player touchpoints..
  • Working alongside the regions publishing partners build, define and evangelize the brand strategy framework for the key franchises in Asia, such as EASPORTS FIFA and Need for Speed.
  • In strong collaboration with EA’s publishing partners, develop and lead a marketing collaboration framework process that evaluates metrics, flags opportunities/risks and drives the organization to solutions that foster positive player relationships.
  • Curate player insights and provide in-depth player expertise to your development partners.
  • Work with go to market teams and publishing partners to ensure that all campaigns are on brand and on strategy.
  • Inspire, lead, and build a team of high performing direct reports.
  • Partner with development teams on multi-year franchise roadmaps.
  • Regularly partner, present and report to studio leadership and stakeholders on marketing strategies, plans, and findings.
  • Provide product/competitive expertise for Development, Marketing and Publishing teams.
  • For each franchise, work with both the studio game teams and publishing teams to develop a strategic plan around user engagement and acquisition, and where needed help execute against the plan and tactics.

Ideal Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in marketing roles at top tier companies, especially in entertainment, consulting, CPG, e-commerce, live services, mobile or interactive entertainment.
  • Strong expertise/understanding of mobile, consumer live service, e-commerce especially in China.
  • Solid business, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience working in Asia.
  • Ability to build relationships at Executive level.
  • Experience leading, growing and developing a team of direct reports.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, flexible environment.
  • Passion for games.
  • Knowledge / passionate fan of football is a big plus.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel required.
  • Business level Chinese Mandarin language a requirement
  • Strong Understanding of the Chinese marketing landscape
  • Ability to work and collaborate with senior stakeholders both internal and externally
