We're looking for an experienced Client Software Engineer to join the team behind Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, designing and developing the technology behind player-facing features and framework-level systems in one of EA’s most successful mobile games. This individual will work as part of a game team to craft dynamic, high-quality experiences that our players have come to expect!

As a Client Software Engineer for a mobile game at EA, you will:

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop, deliver, and improve game systems
    • This includes the creation of new technologies and features as well as integration with existing EA and third-party technologies
  • Monitor the performance and stability of the client to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop new features as part of a continuous live service
  • Be held to high-quality standards through technical guidance, leadership, and mentoring

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional C#, Java, and/or C++ software development
  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Unity, iOS and/or Android development, 3D real-time applications (console games, scientific simulations, etc)
  • Experience with both object-oriented programming and component-based development

Assets

  • Specialization in graphics / rendering
  • Familiarity with some or all of the following languages/technologies: Python, Bash, JSON, Protobuf
  • A love for playing games
  • Background in game development
