Located at EA Burnaby / Vancouver, this Senior Financial Analyst reports into the Finance Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, based in Redwood Shores, CA and will provide an excellent opportunity to be a collaborative business partner and trusted advisor for the Quality Verification team. QV is part of the Worldwide Studios organization, and works to deliver World Class products and services that influence and touch the end-to-end Player Experience.

 Business Partnering

  • Support Coastal Studios, Respawn Studios, and Core QV functions.
  • Help with formulating strategy, translating it into action and drive business success.
  • Play an independent advisory role, challenge business to drive efficiencies.
  • Ability to communicate with and gather information from business partners.
  • Take the insight generated and influence business direction.
  • Present to Studio leadership.

Financial Control – Consolidations, Budgeting, Forecasting and Monthly Reporting.

  • Ability to coordinate FP&A tasks with the assigned deadline.
  • Ability to build budgets, forecasts, and annual plans.

Operational efficiency – Generate insight between business and data.

  • Ability to receive, analyze, integrate and consolidate assumptions and data from business units.
  • The knowledge of finance principles and processes.
  • Ability to synthesize information to create conclusions, alternatives and recommendations - Technical aptitude.
  • Ability to solve problems utilizing technology- Knowledge of spreadsheet and database structures and functions - ability to perform variance analysis and reporting.

 Ad Hoc Projects

  • Examples include driving process improvements across both business partners and finance partners, scenario analysis.

  Other

  • Ability to define, incorporate and report on financial and/or non-financial key performance indicators - Intelligence, natural curiosity, and a desire to learn.

 Skills & Capabilities

A team player able to work collaboratively, within the group and cross-functionally across business units/functions, as a thought leader, project manager, partner, and effective independent team member.

  • Strong initiative and desire to drive change and enhance processes. Ability to proactively identify business risks and opportunities.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy on work output.
  • Extensive experience with budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
  • Demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility and independence.
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of functional linkages and ability to build strong professional relationships with business partners in both operational and financial roles.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple and sometimes competing demands; comfortable with multiple daily responsibilities requiring attention to detail, self-validation and correction of work produced or reviewed.
  • Disciplined, passionate, self-starter; comfortable interacting with senior management.
  • Deep MS Excel expertise is a must and MS Power BI is preferred. 
  • Strong working knowledge of financial planning systems/tools and ERP software.  Specific experience within Hyperion Essbase and Oracle preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation and PowerPoint expertise preferred.

 Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  MBA or CPA preferred.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a divisional or corporate finance role (FP&A or accounting).
