Position Title: Sr Game Designer

We are currently looking for a Lead Technical Designer to join our studio in Austin.

As a Lead Technical Designer, you will:

  • Work with a team of designers, programmers and project leadership through all stages of development
  • Own and implement tools and pipeline features that improve developer experience, content, and functionality of the game
  • Set and maintain the gold standards for design development best practices in a franchise.
  • Collaborate with other key stakeholders to identify and implement the priorities and objectives.
  • Be proactive in communicating progress and resolution of problems against project and studio goals
  • Curate documentation and workflow for all design tools and systems
  • Mentor and train Senior and Junior designers

 

The next great BioWare Lead Technical Designer also needs:

  • 8 + years of experience as a game designer working on AAA titles with Leadership experience
  • Professional experience with code or scripting languages (C, LUA, Others)
  • Thorough understanding of scripting and programming concepts with the ability to implement
  • Excellent knowledge of online games, current technology and tools, and design concepts
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members from different locations and different disciplines.
  • Ability to critique the concepts of design in a group environment
  • Willingness to adapt and iterate designs and plans
  • A passion for gaming
