Motive, le plus récent studio AAA de Electronic Arts, est à la recherche d’un concepteur de niveaux en chef pour diriger la création de niveaux de jeu qui répondent à notre vision créative, en veillant à assurer un processus de conception amusant, satisfaisant et raffiné.

Rôle du concepteur de niveaux en chef chez Motive :

  • Collaborer avec le directeur de monde pour mettre ses objectifs créatifs en action
  • Diriger une équipe de conception de niveaux pour assurer des niveaux de jeu jouables, divertissants et immersifs
  • Assurer le leadership en matière de jouabilité, d’intégration et de documentation
  • En qualité de membre essentiel de l’équipe de production, veiller au respect des prévisions en matière de ressources et de calendrier de livraison
  • Collaborer avec les équipes de conception de jeu et technique pour comprendre et régler les contraintes tout en maintenant des niveaux de qualité AAA
  • Collaborer avec l’équipe de narration pour créer un monde intéressant et crédible
  • Collaborer avec les artistes de niveaux pour assurer la jouabilité des niveaux et la fidélité graphique
  • Élaborer et encadrer l’équipe de conception de niveaux pour en faire la meilleure de l’industrie
  • Participer à la conception et à la création de niveaux jouables, selon la phase du projet

 

 Exigences :

Au moins 8 ans d’expérience dans la conception ou la production de niveaux de jeux vidéo dont au moins une expérience de conception de niveaux pour un titre AAA et

  • Capacité de définir des affectations claires et de la rétroaction exécutable pour l’équipe de conception de niveaux
  • Excellente capacité de guider et d’influencer les concepteurs de toute expérience
  • Expérience d’utilisation des langages de programmation et d’outils de conception de niveaux
  • Facilité et capacité de tenir des discussions de conception créative et technique
  • Compréhension fine de l’esthétique environnementale, indispensable
  • Compréhension de la relation fonction vs forme, ainsi que des facteurs plaisir et intrigue d’un niveau de jeu
  • Tous les membres de notre équipe doivent être en mesure de progresser de manière réactive et flexible, et d’assumer de nouveaux rôles et de nouvelles responsabilités au rythme de notre croissance et de notre évolution. Lead Level Designer – Motive

Motive, Electronic Arts’ newest AAA studio, is seeking a Lead Level Designer to drive the creation of game levels that align with our creative vision, ensuring an extremely fun, satisfying and polished level design flow.

What the next great Lead Level Designer will do at Motive

  • Work with the World Director to bring his creative goals into action
  • Lead a level design team to make all game levels playable, enjoyable and immersive.
  • Provide leadership in gameplay, integration and documentation
  • As a critical member of the production team, ensure resource estimates and delivery schedules are met.
  • Partner with technical and game design teams to understand and address constraints while maintaining AAA quality levels
  • Work in collaboration with the narrative team to create an interesting and believable world.
  • Work in collaboration with level artists to ensure playability of levels and graphic fidelity.
  • Build and mentor the level design team to be the best in the industry.
  • Depending on the phase of the project, participate in the design and creation of playable levels.

 Who you are:

You will possess 8+ years’ experience in video game level design and production with lead level design experience on at least one AAA title and

  • Ability to set clear assignments and actionable feedback for the level design team
  • Excellent ability to guide and influence designers at all experience levels
  • Experience using scripting languages and level design tools
  • Comfort and capability in creative and technical design discussions
  • Keen understanding of the environmental aesthetics is must.
  • Understanding of function vs. form relationships, as well as what makes a game level fun and intriguing required
