The EAX team is driving the strategy and implementation of important initiatives for EA’s community of players to connect them to one another  and to the games they love to play. These initiatives include: EA Access, our cross-platform subscription currently on Origin, PS4, Xbox One and soon on Steam: Origin, EA’s gaming service on PC; and a host of other consumer experiences and strategies to connect friends across platforms and within our games.

 

In your role as Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for providing clear direction to scrum teams as their Product Owner, which means partnering closely with other Product Managers in EAX to gather requirements around content and associated authoring and publishing tools, always with an eye on how we support player-facing features as well as the productivity of our content authors. As part of the broader Player Network foundation effort you will be a key contributor to the EAX team based out of Vancouver.

You’re someone with a proven track record for:

  • Providing clear direction and driving development as a Product Owner
  • Attention to detail and a focus on clear and simple communication of key requirements through user stories
  • Strong team focus with a genuine interest in working collaboratively with others, mentoring peers and being open to giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Experience with [Insert mandatory experience with type of business, tech, team, leadership]
  • Finding your way.  You’ve got experience that helps you work and thrive in a cross-functional organization
  • Understanding your strengths. You’re a solid communicator with a demonstrated ability to partner, collaborate, and engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Most notably you’ll have a rare mix of attention to detail, business focus, and communication skills that translates to delivering a strong data platform to our application developers

 

You also bring the following skills or experiences to our team:

  • 2+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager 
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree that ties to the role, preferably Computer Science
  • Experience with commerce and/or content management systems
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience with GraphQL, headless content management, and content publishing workflows is a plus

 

In a typical week, the Technical Product Manager could be…

  • Reviewing the UI for a new authoring tool
  • Writing user stories to integrate a new source of data into our product data
  • Collaborating across multiple EA teams to plan new systems

  • Other members of the EAX organization to ensure the correctness and quality of our platform
  • Teams from our Digital Platform group and IT to source new types of data
