Summer Intern: EA Pathfinder Data Analyst (BS)

Position Title: Intern General

External Description:

As a Data Analyst intern at EA's Maxis studio, you will analyze gigabytes of player data and discover insights that will go on to influence decisions being made about game design, product, business, art, engineering, and multiple other disciplines within the studio.

You will collaborate with the Analytics Team, Project Managers, Designers, and Engineers to do meaningful work that drives game and studio impact while also growing your expertise in data analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Product Managers and Designers to deliver insights and data requests to aid in product and design decision-making
• Help the Analytics team build aggregate tables to store easy-to-access and human-readable data for quick analysis
• Help create automated dashboarding solutions for multiple disciplines within the team
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis
• Take on a long-term analytics project, defined by you with the help of your manager, and present a final presentation of your insights to the team

Requirements:

• High performing freshman or sophomore pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate insights effectively and comfortably with team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of pivot tables and data visualization.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills.

 Preferred:

• Experience with some Analytics or Statistics tools, such as Tableau, Dundas, R, R Shiny, SAS, or SPSS
• Strong SQL Skills
• Interest in Gaming or the Sims Franchise
