Position Title: Senior Analyst, Global Sourcing

Strategic Sourcing Specialist – Global Strategic Sourcing Department

 

Electronic Arts Inc (EA) is looking for a strategic sourcing specialist with a track record of facilitating market due diligence through competitive bid processes.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with driving internal business partner engagement through utilization of sourcing practices such as spend analysis, bid comparison, sourcing due diligence and contract term negotiation. This position is an individual contributor role and responsible for both back-office support and sourcing activities in partnership with a variety of internal business units including IT, and Workplace & Employee Services with emphasis on supporting local teams in India.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Back-office support
  • Act as a champion and administrator for the GSS infrastructure(s): assume responsibility for sourcing lifecycle management tool administration and intranet page content, provide support and training where required
  • Provide reports on GSS activities. Audit GSS deliverables periodically against standard operating procedures, provide reports and diagnostics
  • Collect spend data, provide reports and analysis
  • Provide assistance to sourcing managers in facilitating competitive bid processes and associated bid analysis

 

• Sourcing activities
  • Partner with and influence business partner departments to build successful relationships
  • Listen to business partner needs, design and conduct sourcing activities to meet operational and financial objectives
• Develop and manage RFx from end to end, under supervision of regional sourcing lead
  • Drive value through negotiation and other sourcing methods with bidders and current suppliers
  • Collaborate with and coordinate other internal functions to effectively engage bidders
  • Complete data gathering to develop & support sourcing recommendations and strategies
  • Understand and contribute to agreements drafting and negotiation with EA Legal and suppliers Work with internal subject matter experts (e.g., Legal, Tax, Security) to meet EA policies and standards
  • Assume full responsibility for performance, striving for excellence and with a desire to be part of a team

  • Provide training on GSS infrastructure and standard operating procedures to new hires
  • Participate in GSS team development initiatives to improve sourcing experience across EA

 

Job Attributes:

• This individual will conduct regular analysis of competitive bids and supplier spend for a range of products and services. Responsible for collecting and analyzing data, and providing recommendations
• Deliver concise and clear email communications, explain local business agreements with well-constructed summaries, and under close support from sourcing lead; develop negotiation strategies
• Support global strategic sourcing digital infrastructure publications and team reporting

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree and over 6 Years relevant Strategic Sourcing or Procurement Experience

Experience in procurement and/or strategic sourcing

Experience with indirect spend focused on either technology, marketing or facilities

Experience working within a US or European company

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Proficient with MS Excel.

 

Preferences:

Institute of Supply Management Certification or equivalent industry certification

Experience in working with remote teams

Experienced in working with a remote manager
