Position Title: Manager II, Accounting

External Description:

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the SEC reporting process including preparation of the Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q and the Annual Report on Form 10-K, and assist in the preparation and review of additional company filings
  • Work with executive management, business owners, legal and accounting teams in drafting language for various sections of the SEC filings and coordinate the review of the filings with Disclosure Committee members, key executives and external auditors
  • Manage XBRL reporting requirements, including block and detail footnote tagging
  • Manage the stock-based compensation accounting and reporting process
  • Manage the calculation of earnings per share and share count forecasting process
  • Manage the maintenance of, and improve, internal controls related to the both the SEC reporting and stock-based compensation accounting processes
  • Continually evaluate and improve processes to enhance systems, reports and analysis
  • Manage and develop staff to meet individual, department and company goals
  • Assist in the research, interpretation and implementation of new US GAAP pronouncements and assess the impact on EA’s financial statements and accounting policies.  Draft technical position memos to support conclusions reached
  • Perform financial accounting research as necessary and provide accounting and reporting guidance to the global finance community
  • Conduct accounting-related training sessions
  • Participate in the close process as necessary
  • Assist Corporate Accounting as needed
  • Assist in special projects

Technical skills and experience

  • Excellent team player who can build and leverage alliances
  • Bachelor degree in Finance and/or Accounting with 6+ years’ experience
  • Combined public accounting and industry experiences are preferred with a minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience from a Big 4 accounting firm CPA required
  • SEC reporting experience required and ASC 718 experience preferred
  • Supervisory skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, ability to influence others
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to work/think independently
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Familiarity with Hyperion or other financial consolidation software a plus
  • Familiarity with XBRL tagging software a plus
