Media Contracts Manager-Contractor

EA is growing its Media Center of Excellence and is looking for an experienced media contracts manager to help us grow our Media discipline to be one of the best and most innovative in the business. This role is a crucial part of the team being able to quickly onboard and test new and innovative solutions in the marketplace – keeping our discipline best in class.

We are seeking someone with the right mix of knowledge and expertise in the paid media/advertising space, along with project and program management leadership who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative, environment for an opportunity to continue building out one of the world’s leading in-house media practices, globally.

The Media Contracts Manager works closely with senior leadership across EA’s Media Center of Excellence, Global Strategic Sourcing, to draft, negotiate and project manage commercial contracts and related documents. In this position, the Media Contracts Manager will interface with various business teams to ensure the negotiated provisions are in compliance with legal and risk policies, strategic initiatives and other corporate requirements.

What a Media Contracts Manager does at EA:

  • Work w Paid Media business team (main stakeholder) along w procurement, legal, vendors and others to manage and facilitate contract feedback, redlines, revisions, etc.
  • Draft deal summaries at the end of an engagement to highlight and summarize deal terms for others in the business
  • Assist in the drafting and development of:
    • Statement of Work
    • Data protection agreement
    • Service level agreement
    • Master service agreements
    • Nondisclosure agreements
  • Coordinate new vendor setup process w various finance teams across the business
  • Project manage current agreements in negotiations, including managing timelines, status, reporting, and meeting target contract completion dates
  • Highlight and escalate issues, roadblocks, points of friction to the business team for resolution
  • Research and interpret contractual language as requested and properly identified potential business and legal risks

 

 

What a great Contracts Manager needs:

  • Must collaborate well w multiple, disparate stakeholders – particularly procurement, legal and the business teams to negotiate and navigate deals while adhering to EA process and corporate and legal guidelines, globally
  • Should have previous Paid Media experience and understanding – ideally at least 3-4 years managing Media contracts
  • Precision, attention to detail, ability to translate standard legal verbiage into easily understandable language for business teams
  • Good understanding for Media terms and conditions
  • Experience navigating matrixed organizations and cross-functional relationships
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to tailor communications appropriately to the audience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Valid passport w at least 6 months left until expiration for international travel
