Player Network - Sr. User Experience Designer

 

Are you someone who loves to craft experiences that impact how millions of gamers access and play their games? EA is looking for a skilled sr. user experience designer responsible for shaping and creating world class experiences that focus on around-game experiences. This includes designing for activities such as game discovery, friend gameplay invites, downloads, and purchases. You will be working closely on our latest iterations of products and services that span across the entire EA ecosystem - including PC desktop, mobile, and console.

 

We seek versatility, thorough attention to detail, and empathy for our user's needs. You should be obsessed with design, and you should thrive in a highly collaborative and iterative product environment.

 

A SAMPLE OF WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Working closely with UX leadership, product managers, and engineering to define UX and UI requirements
  • Mentoring peers, stakeholders, and teammates on user-centered design principles and methodologies
  • Creating wireframes, user flows, storyboards, prototypes and other UX deliverables
  • Championing UX team initiatives, such as creation of design guidelines, process enhancements, design systems and more

 

YOU’RE SKILLED AT:

  • Leading projects
  • Recognizing good visual design
  • Creating the best processes / approaches for tackling a design problem
  • Anticipating common problems and finding workable ways of solving them
  • Collaborating. You have superb communication skills and a way of explaining ideas that get others interested and excited about your work. You know the right group of cross-functional stakeholders to involve to get the results that you want.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • Bachelors degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years professional user experience design practice
  • Demonstrable experience in design principles and tools (wireframes, personas, mental models, etc)
  • Have contributed to multiple shipped products

 

Bonus Points:

  • Passion for video games
  • Experience designing for desktop applications
  • Experience with creating design prototypes
  • Basic understanding of frameworks such as React and React Native
