External Description:

Senior Technical Artist - SEED Stockholm

SEED is a pioneering group within Electronic Arts, combining creativity with applied research. We explore, build and help define the future of interactive entertainment.

We exist at EA to deliver and foster disruptive innovation for our games and our players. We do this through research, prototypes, exploration, and never-ending curiosity. We also exist to educate, share, and be great partners. We collaborate with game teams and industry partners, and also publish and present our research within our industry and to the public. We pursue long term applied research viewed through a 10X lens, yet stay relevant to the present by delivering artifacts along the way to game teams and technology groups inside EA.

As a Senior Technical Artist at SEED you will work closely with engineers, researchers and fellow content creators to help build interactive experiences of the future. As a forward-thinking artist with a strong technical background in game engine pipelines, you will explore the boundaries of real-time visuals, and investigate new approaches to how we create content. With your cross-disciplinary knowledge of the latest advances and best practices for art creation, you will be a key contributor in the realization of our projects!

You are well-acquainted with content creation workflows, and as a creative and inventive person, you are able to think about new and different ways of creating art, such as procedural content workflows in tools like Houdini. Inspired by the fusion of technology and art, you want to create beautiful interactive experiences. Your technical skills match your aesthetic judgement, to the extent that you could act as an art director for a small creative team, while also participating in the actual implementation.

We are looking for talented, self-motivated individuals with the capability and drive to build innovative visual experiences, with a strong desire to explore and master new areas of real-time rendering and content creation. We want passionate, creative, and communicative people. We also expect our employees to be involved and self-driven, and in return we provide great autonomy and true influence.

Does this make you curious? Well, if you want to be part of creating visuals of the future and work with some of the best talent there is in this field, then SEED is the team for you.

Working at SEED

We take care of our team, and we provide a competitive compensation package including bonuses and relocation.

We believe that each person is unique, so we offer individual coaching and support to help you reach your full potential. We respect and value our employees’ personal lives. A good work-life balance is essential to our long-term success!

We collaborate with EA's world-class teams. We also encourage you to share your work through publishing, contributing to open source, and speaking at conferences.

Electronic Arts is an inclusive and diverse company, and at SEED we believe diversity in our team brings great strength - we encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply.
