Position Title: Software Engineer II - Security

DRE Security Engineer - SEII

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join the Development and Release Engineering (DRE) team.

DRE are EA’s global automation specialists. We are a team of around 100 staff based in EA studios around the world. We pride ourselves on working closely with our internal customers (EA's game, engine, product, and content teams) and serve them by providing superior services related to Build & Test Automation, Continuous Integration, Metrics Reporting, and Virtual Infrastructure.

We are seeking a Security Engineer to work on several projects to further secure our IT infrastructure and automation systems.  This is primarily an implementation role.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Have broad knowledge of operational and security processes/controls (e.g., vulnerability management, patch management, configuration management, access management, etc.).
  • Have a solid enough understanding of the IT security domain to be able to implement projects leading to improvements in our security posture.
  • Deliver high quality work on time and communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders during the project.
  • Be able to understand development languages, test frameworks, and SW development methodologies to work with and gain the trust of the development teams members who are not necessarily well versed in security concepts.
  • Foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution across multiple stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experience implementing and supporting security solutions.
  • Experience assessing and designing security controls in an enterprise-level environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recognized security industry standards and leading practices.
  • Broad knowledge of security technologies, solutions, and tools.
  • Solid knowledge of server and workstation technologies and platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of directory, identity, authentication, and access management technologies.
  • Strong engineering practices
  • Experience securing cloud environments, tools and frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of middleware technologies and platforms.
  • Ability to understand connectedness of systems.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team and effectively coordinate with internal stakeholders to accomplish business goals.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred.
