Position Title: Staff Analyst

External Description:

Marketing Data Analyst

What you will do:

  • Produce strategic insights to help guiding User Acquisition strategies
  • Receive questions from the business and determine data needed to answer them
  • Present analysis conclusions to partners in a clear and applicable way
  • Work with large, distributed data sources to conduct analysis
  • Provide guidance to product teams regarding data capture needs
  • Ensure the analytics team has telemetry available to answer important questions
  • Partner with Business Intelligence and Database Engineers to manage data requirements to support high-quality analysis and reports
  • Conduct analysis while following company-wide best practices such as version control, documentation, and reproducibility

 

Requirements:

  • BA or BS in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 1+ years of work experience in a prior analytical role, demonstrating expertise with data to guide our decisions
  • Excellent SQL skills, including experience querying complex data sets (Presto, Hive, BigQuery)
  • Experience in data mining, machine learning, or statistical modeling
  • Experience with data visualization applications (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Experience with programmatic data analysis tools in Python
