Position Title: Senior Analyst

External Description:

Capital Games seeks an experienced analyst who is passionate about mobile games to help foster a data driven culture and environment.

Capital Games is fast-paced and collaborative. As a Sr. Analyst, the game team will rely on you for information in a rapidly changing, live game environment. A successful candidate will have strong SQL and automation skills, along with the ability to partner and communicate with a cross-functional team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with game teams and franchise marketing to evaluate game health and break down player behavior related to engagement, monetization, and progression
  • Partner with game team to develop business requirements for reporting and analysis. Customers vary widely, including but not limited to executives, product managers, designers, engineers, and marketing team members
  • Work with Data Engineering to build ETLs and self-service tools to support live services operations
  • Develop hypotheses and analysis frameworks to quantify and evaluate the impact of game features, systems, content, and promotions
  • Define and test target KPIs for new games and features
  • Create organized, reproducible analyses that can efficiently apply to other features and games
  • Help design experiments and evaluate their results

 

Skills/Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant hands on experience, preferably working with large volumes of customer-level data
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with big data stores (Hive/Hadoop, Big Query, AWS, Snowflake etc)
  • Experience building data visualizations for exploratory analysis and automated reporting
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Passion to work in a collaborative team environment with multiple customers and competing priorities
  • Ability to communicate results to a non-technical audience is a must
  • B.A. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering Sciences 
  • Preference for familiarity with Python or R
