Position Title: Manager, Business Development

External Description:

The Competitive Gaming Division (CGD) is built around creating highly engaging competitive programs that aim to make stars of all our players. The Commercialization team is looking for a Media Distribution Sales Manager to help us take our world-class broadcast content to networks and platforms globally, focusing on both reach and revenue. You will be responsible for executing the distribution strategy for all of our competitive titles (FIFA, Apex Legends, Madden and TBA) and managing key relationships with our broadcast partners all around the world.  These partnerships include digital and linear partners globally.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute media rights deals from beginning to end, including outreach, pitching, negotiating and closing deals with broadcast partners across linear, digital, social and OTT platforms.
  • Work closely with internal EA teams (Broadcast, Brand Partnerships, Game Teams, Marketing, etc.) to align on media packages, content plan, sponsor integration, partner communication and go-to-market plans.
  • Manage relationships with external partners to ensure international reach and distribution and as primary business POC
  • Maintain excellent post-deal services and follow up with all stakeholders; execute partner rights and benefits; monitor partner usage of EA IP and overall marketing/business conduct; work with partners to drive tune-in and additional content support.
  • Gather and analyze audience data from partners; maintain central repository for internal teams

 

Key Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in business development or media sales
  • 2+ years of experience working on deals in licensing, media rights or content production
  • A passion for esports and competitive gaming
  • Experience working with external partners on client service and relationship management
  • Ability to occasionally travel, including international (10-20%)
  • Proven track-record of success working across functions in a matrix environment, with strong ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the demonstrated ability to make effective presentations to a broad range of audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
