We are looking for an accomplished copywriting leader to help bring this experience to life across platforms and devices. This creative, brand-focused copy lead will innovate and execute across a diverse and fast-paced company and industry from our headquarters in Redwood City, California.

 

About the Role

 

Playing a key role in the design function and reporting to the Head of Design, the Lead UX Writer provides the voice which brings Player Network experiences to players. Working in close partnership with Marketing, Design, Product Management and Engineering teams, you will drive the crafting of brand voice guidelines and express this voice in copy throughout the player journey. You’ll apply meticulous polish to every line, be it product copy, marketing executions, emails or team communications, working in a spirit of collaboration and iteration to consistently present Player Network experiences to players at high quality.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with Marketing and Design leadership to craft, refine and document brand voice guidelines
  • Lead copywriting execution for EA’s Player Network product ecosystem, including Origin, EA Access and emerging opportunities
  • Create compelling, trustworthy and authentic communications in both product and marketing, appropriate for the gaming audience
  • Lead and grow the copywriting function as necessary across the Player Network products

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • 8+ years of experience writing and providing copy leadership in a product team or agency environment
  • An exceptional portfolio of work showcasing brand point of view and product sense
  • Expertise in UX copywriting, communicating function and utility while staying on-brand
  • Innovative spirit, focus, and follow-through
  • Experience with people management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with digital ecosystems, social networks, digital-only services or applications
  • Experience with games and related experiences
  • Experience with resource management, tasking and job tracking
  • Familiarity with Google Docs and other content collaboration systems
