Internal Community Manager (6-month contract)

EA is hiring an Internal Community Manager to lead community channel communication efforts. EA aims to be one of the most inclusive, diverse, and creative companies in the industry and wants to maintain healthy internal communication channels for all employees. The candidate will be a positive and collaborative relationship builder who is motivated to connect with EA internal employees and understand the conversations taking place. This is an internally-focused, hands-on role that will moderate, track, escalate, problem solve and resolve issues within EA internal community channels appropriately.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead internal channel community efforts for global employees.
  • Moderate EA’s central community chat channels.
  • Run and improve EA’s escalation tiers and process as it relates to community chat channels.
  • Drive regular community channel issues reporting with applicable benchmarking.
  • Liaise closely with partners in Global Comms, Human Resources and Legal to assess issues and develop responses / next steps as needed.
  • Work with stakeholders within the company on programs, tools and technology that help to support/improve healthy employee channel communities.
  • Drive overall improvement around the process of channel community moderation, escalation, tracking and reporting.

Requirements: 

  • Experience: 5 years’ experience working in community, communications, social media, journalism, online marketing, or equivalent. 
  • 2+ years’ experience in global, cross-functional environments. 
  • Experienced team player with the ability to effectively work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional organizational ability. 
  • Action-oriented / self-starter with an ability to identify and solve challenges with passion, energy, attention to detail and enthusiasm. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work through multiple projects simultaneously, while prioritizing high-impact work. 
  • Can effectively work through high-pressure crisis situations, and work in ambiguity to define a clear path.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Deep experience with Slack, its functionality and toolset.
  • Familiarity with EA, gaming industry and Human Resources a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Human Resources or a related field is preferred.
