Motive, le plus récent studio AAA de Electronic Arts, est à la recherche d'un artiste de concept pour 6 mois.

Rôle du prochain grand artiste de concept chez Motive :

L'artiste de concept devra collaborer étroitement avec le directeur artistique de Motive à la création de personnages, d'objets et d'environnements, de l'ébauche rapide à la composition couleur jusqu'aux dessins finaux d'art et de modèles de haute qualité. Il contribuera au style artistique en développement et exécutera la vision artistique des jeux de Motive :

  • Collaborer étroitement avec le directeur artistique et les artistes de production pour créer une distribution de personnages hautement crédibles ainsi que des environnements de jeux immersifs
  • Créer une vaste gamme de concepts supplémentaires y compris la conception de créatures, de props de surface dure et de véhicules
  • Concevoir des concepts originaux qui conviennent au style de projet
  • Traduire les idées de haut niveau en trousses artistiques prêtes à produire
  • Maintenir un niveau élevé d'art de qualité, tout en proposant une foule d'idées
  • Assurer une recherche approfondie, du matériel de référence et développer des idées conceptuelles
  • Créer des schèmes lumineux et des palettes de couleurs qui saisissent le ton du monde de jeux
  • L’habilité à créer des sketches exploratoires itératifs pour orienter le design.
  • Aptitude à designer du hard surface.

Exigences :

  • Au moins 8 ans d'expérience dans la création d'art conceptuel de haute qualité pour jeux vidés ou films
  • Expertise en dessin de perspective
  • Capacité de communiquer avec d'autres disciplines au sein de l'équipe de développement et de prendre la relève du directeur artistique dans la direction créative
  • Expertise en Photoshop ou Painter, maîtrise du 3D (Zbrush, Sketch-Up, Modo ou Maya)
  • Fortes compétences en peinture d'illustrations traditionnelles ou numériques et bonne utilisation des couleurs
  • Polyvalence pour travailler tous les éléments, des environnements aux personnages --- pour tout genre de jeu
  • Démonstration de l'évolution du concept, de l'idée brute à la dernière ligne de dessin ou plan orthographique
  • Capacité de créer un grand volume d'art conceptuel de qualité dans des délais serrés tout au long du cycle de développement du projet
  • Apte à travailler dans un style artistique établi
  • Capacité à travailler sous pression tout en mettant en œuvre les changements d'après la rétroaction de sources multiples
  • Connaissance de la technique cinématique, du langage et de la composition de prises; une expérience en peinture de caches un atout

Motive, Electronic Arts studio, is seeking a Concept Artist for 6 months contract.

What the next great Concept Artist will do at Motive:

You will work closely with our Art Director at Motive to create character, object and environment art from quick roughs through color comps toward final quality art and model sheets.  You will contribute to the developing art style and realizing the artistic vision for Motive’s games:

  • Work closely with the Art Director and Production Artists to create a cast of highly believable characters and immersive game environments
  • Create a wide variety of additional concepts including creature design, hard surface props, and vehicles
  • Design original concepts that fit within the project style guide
  • Translate high level ideas into production-ready art packets
  • Maintain a high level of quality art, while providing a variety of ideas
  • Provide in depth research, reference material, and develop conceptual ideas
  • Ability to create iterative exploratory sketches to guide the design
  • Create Hard surface design

Who you are:

  • You have 8+ years of experience creating high quality concept art for console games or film
  • Expert in perspective drawing
  • Ability to communicate with other disciplines within the development team and takes creative direction from the Art Director.
  • Expert in Photoshop and/or Painter, proficiency in 3d (Zbrush, Sketch-Up, Modo, or Maya)
  • Strong painting skills in traditional and/or digital illustrations and strong use of color
  • Versatility to work everything from environments to characters---any game genre.
  • Demonstration of a concept’s evolution from rough ideation to a final line drawing or orthographic blueprint
  • Ability to create a large volume of quality concept art within tight deadlines throughout the project’s development cycle
  • Must be able to work within an established art style
  • Ability to work under pressure while implementing changes based on feedback from multiple sources
  • Knowledge of cinematic technique, language, and shot composition; matte painting proficiency is a plus
