Position Title: Community Engagement Strategist/Specialist II

External Description:

The Social Channels & Influencers Associate Manager for EA SPORTS FIFA will be integral to Global Communication and Community Engagement efforts to position the brand and product to new customer bases, elevate the brand’s perception, and tell the EA SPORTS FIFA narrative through implementing social channel, creator and celebrity influencer based campaigns. This includes leading creative, production and relationships while working cross functionally with development, marketing communications and brand teams to execute campaigns; collaborating with an in-house team and external agencies; quantitative analysis of overall campaigns’ key KPIs and contribution to overall brand health; forecasting and planning campaign reach; as well as supporting the Marketing Communications team with any other special quantitative and qualitative projects that may arise.

This leader will use their knowledge of social channel content creation to produce high performing social content and campaigns. The ideal leader has a passion for social channels, creators and influencers, as well as understands how to partner with them into brand and product campaigns that drive our advertising business, community engagement, and influencer content marketing programs on both owned and shared social channels. He/she will collaborate with internal production teams and external agencies tasked with building the business, social channel and relationship opportunities with for owned channels and most influential talent in the world.

General Qualifications:

 

  • Experience with and knowledge of platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch or other emerging social platforms
  • Excited by creating unique and innovative ideas and executing with high-quality standards
  • Depth of understanding of gaming, specifically FIFA and FIFA Ultimate Team
  • Passion and deep knowledge of football
  • Experience leveraging insights and data to develop social channel and influencer content strategies, campaigns and ideas.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead for social content related to FIFA Ultimate Team
  • Content strategy and publishing of assets across EA SPORTS FIFA social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Giphy, etc)
  • Work closely with FUT Brand and Development teams on developing and communicating Live Service campaigns
  • Communicating publishing plans for FIFA/FUT beats to internal stakeholders, based on channel best practices to drive maximum reach and engagement on assets
  • Executing the FIFA brand voice across all touchpoints in copy for social channels and web copywriting
  • Working with internal teams and external creators to inform static, video and GIF asset creation
  • Working with influencers and agencies to build social content
  • Main point of contact for cross-functional and territory teams as related to social channels and FUT content
  • Lead for Giphy, TikTok and other emerging social media platforms
  • Creating social copy and social post guidance for talent, club, league, and influencer support around major FUT beats
  • Monitoring social channels for engagement opportunities with clubs/leagues/partners/fans/influencers
  • Reporting back on asset performance of FIFA content on owned and partner channels

 

Required Skills/Experience:

 

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in online communities, social media, journalism, online marketing, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated writing, grammar, and content-creation skills
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for operating social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to present new ideas effectively
  • An aggressive, self-motivated, detail-oriented team player and quality driven
  • Has strong problem solving skills. Must be able to keep focus on multiple tasks and effectively set priorities among projects
  • Ability to objectively interpret customer/community feedback and make actionable recommendations
  • Solid understanding of Live Service operations and Development.
  • Bachelor Degree in Communications or Marketing a plus.
  • Willingness to travel, if necessary, and attend off-site events
