CORE EXPECTATIONS

As a member of Electronic Arts APAC Publishing team, reporting into the Head of Brand and Engagement – APAC, you are a part of a team of accomplished specialists who lead the gaming industry across an diverse and exciting region. You will be visible within the EA APAC Publishing team.

The Retail Marketing Manager maximizes the impact of EA’s brands in all essential channels across the region (Middle East, South Africa, India, South East Asia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand) and applying strategic brand and licensing partnerships to further raise the impact of our brands within all retail channels (in-store, retailer web, retailer social).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ㆍWork closely with sales & marketing teams in APAC to develop strategy of all trade marketing campaigns to hit Pre-order, Unit, Revenue and Market Share goals and essential brand communication.

ㆍWork with Markets, Strategy &Planning (MS&P) lead to create global pre-order strategies and design local strategy plans to suit specific regional markets when needed

ㆍCreate outstanding retail experience programs that create consumer excitement and purchase intent at the point of sale

ㆍWork with sales teams to improve co-op and sales promotional budget spend (PPF)and report spend & Return on investment to appropriate sales & marketing budget owners; manage merchandising teams and merchandising agencies

ㆍPrepare for and participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly sales and marketing meetings; compile Channel Partner marketing reports and helps perform promotional evaluation on essential activities to review effectiveness and identify best practice guidelines

ㆍOwn the Retail Marketing financial tracker and purchase order process for retail marketing activities

ㆍDevelop and tailor retail plans to suit specific local market environments and cultural nuances across APAC, working closely with regional distribution partners. Observing budgets and provide a measurable Return on investment

RETAIL MARKETING

ㆍCollaborate with the Global Trade Marketing (GTM) team and MS&P teams to improve continued efficiencies in the design, production and distribution of retail-based POS material across the APAC region.

ㆍDrive added value activation in retailer’s and distribution partner’s web, social, CRM, and online/offline media channels including management of assets and communications following brand goals and global marketing beats

ㆍDrive optimum efficiency in process and spend within all production and distribution processes of retail marketing assets, display materials and installations across the APAC region;

ㆍHire and manage all suppliers managing retail and in-store asset origination, localization and production

DIGITAL CHANNELS MARKETING

ㆍDrive essential category goals – work with regional sales teams to achieve digital at retail strategies, assist with execution at retail where required, and educate consumers on digital content and subscription models

Report and EFFECTIVENESS

ㆍContinually monitor all marketing programs and partner performance to promote Return on investment and effectiveness across the region.

TRADE, VENDOR EXHIBITIONS and CONFERENCES

ㆍSupport regional marketing teams’ activation of vendor shows where required. Assist with franchise assets and promote retailer web, social, CRM, and media channels to promote/support events.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

ㆍBachelor Degree preferred in Marketing, Business or Communications preferred.

ㆍ2 to 3 years retail marketing or category management experience

ㆍExperience managing execution across multiple geographic locations.

ㆍManage several projects, manage order of importance.

ㆍTeam-first player, as excited to invest in improving the team’s performance as they are to excel in their own work.

ㆍSolid commercial experience

ㆍShows good initiative, is proactive and resourceful in carrying out work assignments and following through

ㆍKnowledge of gaming and gaming audiences will be considered an advantage
