External Description:

We Are DICE

DICE (EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment), the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, is best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise, the Battlefront franchise, and the innovative game Mirror’s Edge.

The DICE UI team creates the layer between fiction and reality. Our mission to immerse players makes DICE UI technology challenging and fun. Challenges are given by UX design, but also rendering performance and implementing our art direction. At DICE, nothing is impossible and if a feature makes the experience better for our players we will make it work.

As a Senior UI Software Engineer at DICE, you will have deep knowledge in your domain. Weather it’s debugging crashes, estimating work to be done or discussing architecture, you will be pulled in as an expert. As a senior, you will share your knowledge and make sure the people around you grow. Mentoring and knowledge sharing will be a part of your daily work.

Sometimes you will face intense periods of research and coding pushing the boundaries of what is possible to do with today’s hardware and software. If an artist wants an effect that we don’t have in our engine, we will simply create it. At DICE, we live on the edge of technology. Pushing boundaries is not just something we say we do, it will be your job.

We are expanding our UI team and we need an experienced C++ developer. You love to simplify and challenge existing ideas, but you are not afraid to use what someone else has built to achieve your goals. You understand the importance of well-structured code, best practices and tested code. You will be faced with a unique technology stack and will be asked to improve it. Whether it’s optimization, feature development or rewriting bug prone code you will do it to take us further and, in the end, make our players see and feel something amazing that they have not experienced before.

Things we like to see at DICE UI

  • Experience from professional game development
  • Experience working in and with game engines

  • Use multiple engines and tools
  • Render
  • UX
  • C# development experience

What’s in it for you? Glad you asked!

At DICE we take care of our staff and have done so during our steady growth over the last decade. In addition to a great compensation package, we offer our employees 10 EA games per year, massage every three weeks, a variety of sports activities (yoga and cross fit to name a few) and healthcare allowance. We have a collective bargain agreement with Unionen and Sveriges Ingenjörer and also provide our employees with occupational pension.
